What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care goes beyond addressing pain and stiff joints; it targets the root cause of dysfunction to help you live life to its fullest expression. It involves the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their effects on the nervous system and overall health. Treatments are typically performed manually by the chiropractor, with active patient involvement. Chiropractic care is designed to enhance wellness at any stage of life, from cradle to the golden ages. It supports not just pain relief but also improved function and vitality.
Chiropractic care is the world's leading natural, drug-free approach to healing and wellness, designed to unlock your full potential.
What is a Subluxation?
Misalignments of the spine, called subluxations, can disrupt communication between your brain, organs, tissues, and glands. Your vertebral column houses your spinal cord, which serves as the highway system between the brain and the body. When a vertebra is out of its normal positioning this creates a roadblock for those nerves exiting the spinal column, leading to a disturbance in communication that manifests as physical pain, emotional distress, frequent illness, and sleep disturbances. Chiropractic adjustments aim to eliminate this interference, restoring proper alignment and motion to improve nervous system function. Subluxations are caused by 'The Three T's.'
"While other professions are concerned with changing the environment to suit the weakened body, chiropractic is concerned with strengthening the body to suit the environment." - B.J. Palmer

Emotional stress from work or personal life can affect the body in several ways. It can lead to muscle tension, particularly in the neck, shoulders, and back, which can pull the vertebrae out of alignment. Prolonged emotional stress can alter posture and breathing patterns, further contributing to spinal misalignments.
-
Physical impact or injury affects the body, ranging from significant traumas like car accidents to microtraumas like repetitive motions. Physical stress can cause direct injury to the spine, resulting in subluxations. Even seemingly minor incidents, such as sleeping in an awkward position or carrying heavy bags, can lead to misalignments over time.

Chemical stress refers to the impact of toxins and chemicals on the body. This can include exposure to environmental pollutants, poor diet, alcohol, drugs, or even certain medications. These toxins can cause inflammation and disrupt the body’s natural balance, leading to muscle tension and other physiological changes that can contribute to subluxations.
